Pilates Instructor
Pleasantly greeted by a smiling faced Pilates instructor you briefly converse and get on with a warm up of a few exercises designed to get flows going and muscles awakened.
You then start working on a level that is perfect for you, the instructor working with your body to align out of alignment joints, release tight muscles, strengthen weak muscles, improve your posture where you need it and the efficient balance of your body.
Specific exercises for your body at the right level for you and the right challenge so you know the muscles that need it have had a workout and others have relaxed and released. You know the muscles worked better because you breathed better, you knew how to work them and you stretched at the end and where needed.
You work muscles with strength and length and though getting stronger, you are not building muscle bulk or tightness.
When you leave that session you feel more alive and invigorated, you know that the very corners of your body were gotten into, not just the outer bits and it has woken up from deep inside right out and it feels goo-o-o-o-d!
That is a good Pilates session, a good
Pilates instructor
on a good Pilates exercise program.
One can use Pilates DVDs and videos in conjunction with a good instructor for additional Pilates benefit.
